I thought it was an interesting thought to develop: the difference between "everlasting" life and "eternal" life. A cusory review of the prayer formularies for the Masses for the Dead confirms the significance of eternal life as opposed to everlasting life. A keener awareness of the meaning and demands of eternal life are another opportunity for encouraging ongoing conversion.
